In my opinion, humans weren't really built for monogamy. Cheating has never bothered me the way it bothers some.

For us, my husband isn't jealous at all, and is perfectly happy with me enjoying myself with others. That actually makes it difficult for me to get that "cheating" thrill. I sometimes have to pretend, or tell the guy I am with it is cheating, to find the same jazz. Even though my husband would not only not be offended, but would be aroused, by my antics, sometimes I don't tell him just because I want to keep some things to myself. (and want to keep him guessing.)

So, for those of you who find excitement in cheating, yet don't want to cheat, it is very easy to role play. I had some friends whose sex life had gone flat, and I just suggested that they meet at a bar and pretend they were strangers. Lots. I cant say if I have been cheated on but I have cheated in all of my relationships, including my two long term ones. I did it for many reasons. I guess it was just many years of our marriage slowing being chipped away.
